Green and outdoor areas
Designing public places is an integral part of the urban development structure and, along with an openness to new developments, represents the basic framework of the new Überseestadt Bremen. Opening the port areas to the neighbouring city districts of Walle and Gröpelingen leads to an increased interest on the part of the residents in green and outdoor areas near the water.
The green concept for shaping outdoor areas is based on the planned and existing urban structures and gives them unmistakable features.
